Title IX and Non-Discrimination

What is Title IX?

Title IX of the Eudcation Amendments of 1972 prohibts discrimiation on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program or activity.  Sex discrimiation includes sex based harassment, discriminaition on the basis of sex, and retaliation related to complaints of sex discmination.  Sex-based harassment is unwelcome conduct which includes both sexual harassment, including but not limited to sexual assault, other forms of sexual violence and other misconduct, and general based harassment.  This applies to academic, education athlectic, and residential programs.

Aspen Academy does not disciminate in any employment practice, education program or educational activity on the basis of race, color, religiou creed, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, marial status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expressional, disability (including ,but not limited to, intellectual disability, past or present history of mental disorder, physcial disability or learning disability), genetic information, or other basis prohibited by Minnesota state and/or federal momdiscrimination laws.
