Arrival and Dismissal 

Thank you for everyone’s help and patience with carline. Safety of our scholars is our top priority.  A huge extra thank you to all our staff who help direct traffic!

During morning drop off:

  • Please stay in your car.
  • Please stay off your phone.
  • Staff will direct you when to open your doors.
  • Staff will also direct when it is safe to start leaving.  

During pick up:

  • Buses need to enter the parking lot first, after loading they will leave by 3:55 pm. You will be directed to start filling car line by staff.
  • Please wait until the buses enter the parking lot before lining up. This will reduce the back up on Zinran Avenue.
  • Please stay in your car.
  • Please stay off your phone.  
  • We ask that you do not park to walk in. We will ensure all scholars are connected with their families.
  • A reminder to set up your SDM, this will reduce delays in the car line.
  • If you are asked to park, staff will direct you and walk your scholar safely to your car.

Bus Transportation

  • Bus Transportation is provided by Prior Lake Bus Company.  They can be reached at 952-440-1166.
  • The bus company will do their best to accommodate requests, however, they cannot guarantee all stop requests.
  • To those that choose to have busing, bus stop information will be provided through the Infinite Campus portal the week before school begins. 
  • If there needs to be a change to a bus stop after receiving your assigned stop or during the school year, please contact eric.sandberg@aspenacademymn.org and he will work with the bus company.  Please allow 3 business days for the processing/changes.
  • Students who get on/off the bus from a stop within the borders of the Prior Lake/Savage school district, may ride the bus at no charge.
  • Students who utilize a bus stop outside of the borders of the Prior Lake-Savage school district are charged an annual fee of $500 with a family cap of $1000.
  • Families who qualify for Educational Benefits will also qualify for reduced bus fees.  These forms will be available in July of each new school year. If you have any questions please contact Julie Martini in the business office at 952-226-5942, julie.martini@aspenacademymn.org
  • All bus fees must be paid in full by August 31st in order for students to be able to ride.  Failure to pay the transportation fee will result in the removal of transportation privileges.  
  • There is no fee reduction if your child rides the bus one way and not the other.
  • All bus fees are non-refundable
  • Make checks payable to Aspen Academy.  Returned checks will be charged a $35 fee.

School Dismissal Manager:

  • Each family will be assigned a number whether or not you choose to pick up your student during car line.
  • This system is used to inform parents of when school is closed, buses will be late or weather related emergencies.  You will automatically receive emails but if you would like to receive text messages for school closings please include your phone number and sign up for this option on School Dismissal Manager.

Carline Pickup:

  • In the am, doors will open at 8:35.  Incoming cars will form a line.  Follow the directions of the staff in the parking lot.  Please do not let your student out of your car until you have been given direction to do so by staff.  
  • In the pm, dismissal runs from 3:45-4:15.  Form a line, follow directions from staff in the parking lot. Have your carpool number ready.  Any students not picked up after 4:15 will go to Eagles Nest and the family will b charged emergency drop in fees.
  • If there needs to be any changes to your child’s dismissal, please utilize School Dismissal Manger.
